Fire Extinguisher Course

Syllabus Outline

The course includes:

  • Explanation of the nature of fire
  • Knowing when or when not to tackle a fire
  • Identification and the use the different types of fire extinguishers
  • Practice extinguishing a controlled fire with a fire extinguisher

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the programme the student will be able to:

  • Explain the process of combustion
  • Know when or when not to tackle a fire
  • Correctly identify and know when to use the different types of extinguishers
  • Use  a fire extinguisher correctly and with confidence

Course duration

This course last for about one hour and a half and does not include a tea/coffee break.  It is suitable for up to 12 students.
