First Aid at Work Re-Qualification Certificate

The First Aid at Work Re-Qualification Certificate is an HSE approved training course

Course pre- requisite: The re-qualification course must be undertaken before the expiry date of the First Aid at Work Certificate. When the retraining is done within three months prior to certificate expiry, the new certificate will take effect from that date of expiry. Where retraining has not been undertaken before certificate expiry, it should be completed no more than 28 days beyond the expiry date.

The course covers the following topics

  • Circulation
  • Resuscitation
  • Dressings and bandages
  • Shock
  • Bleeding
  • Duties of a First Aider, including legislation
  • Unconsciousness
  • Fractures
  • Soft Tissues and Joints
  • Burns, Scalds and Poisons
  • Heat and Cold
  • Eye Injuries
  • Major and Minor Illnesses
  • Casualty Handling

Course Duration: 2 days

Final Test:

33 multi-choice questions (40 minutes)
A demonstration of Resuscitation Skills,
A demonstration of Incident Management Skills
A demonstration of the Recovery Position.

Certification: HSE Approved First Aid at Work Certificate valid for 3 years
