CIEH Principles of Manual Handling Course
Principles of Manual Handling is a stand-alone level 2 qualification, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). It is aimed at those who carry out manual handling activities at work and introduces students to the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved and controls available and what to expect from a manual handling assessment. All Wales Manual Handling Training Passport and Information Scheme
 The All Wales Passport in Manual Handling was originally developed by Health and Safety professionals within the NHS Trusts in Wales to ensure high standards and consistency of manual handling within the NHS in Wales thus allowing staff to transfer their skills when moving from trust to trust. Such is its success that Welsh Local Authorities have now followed suit.
The course consists of 6 modules. Modules A and B relate to inanimate load handling and are delivered as a half day course. More

The All Wales Passport in Manual Handling - Train the trainer Course
This course is a post basic course in moving and handling, which includes an element of teaching. It aims to prepare lead individuals to manage and deliver manual handling training in line with current legislation & to the standards of the All Wales NHS Manual Handling Training Passport & Information Scheme (Passport Scheme). The course will involve additional work outside the sessions to develop the content and materials for assessment on the final day.. More
Trainers must refresh their skills regularly. We run 1 day annual refresher courses and 2 day refresher courses for trainers who have not had a refresher course in 3 years
Principles of Moving and Handling
This is a half day introduction to the principles of moving and handling. It is aimed at those who might have to move and handle inanimate loads as part of their activities at work. The course covers all the topics recommended by the HSE. More information |
